Widely misunderstood, governance concerns the manner in which organisations are directed and controlled. More so, no entity however large or small, public, private, government or not-for-profit is built upon its internal governance. As highlighted by the financial crisis, without the key qualities of strong systems, accountability, transparency and effectiveness, organisations of all shapes and sizes not only face exposure to risk, but potentially financial and managerial failure.
It has never been more crucial for organisations to be aware of their compliance and ethical responsibilities. By synergizing the essential principles of good governance and ethics, this course not only serves as a fundamental tool for the development and implementation of good governance, it also provides a framework for participants to improve their organisations perceived value, corporate culture and in turn, their bottom-line.
