Strategy used to be the responsibility of senior management and the board, with little or no involvement from middle management. But now, with business environments, organisational systems, and stakeholder interests becoming increasingly complex and requiring attention at different organisational levels and within reduced time frames, the need for strategic capability and thinking at multiple levels within an organisation has become urgent. However, many line, section and unit managers, with great depth of experience, have often had limited exposure to the principles of strategy and the use of strategic thinking as an integral part of day to day practice.
This program equips middle to senior managers with the concepts, models and language of strategy and strategic thinking to better align their outcomes with the overall strategic intent of their organisations. It takes participants through key elements of the strategy process, from future scenarios and environment analysis to effective leadership and informed decision making in complex multi stakeholder environments.
