The Management Masterclass guides participants to an elevated perspective on their management situations and practices. It raises their awareness of specific, practical ways in which they can maximise the leadership potential within their management roles.

Designed for people in existing management roles, high potential or emerging managers, and those whose roles are undergoing significant change, this three-module Management Masterclass will introduce participants to a holistic, elevated perspective on management practice, and contribute to their development as more effective managers.

The modular approach (three two-day segments over three or more weeks) is less demanding of managers' busy schedules than a single five or six day block, while at the same time providing sufficiently comprehensive coverage of topics, and continuity of engagement. The breaks between sessions allow for reflection by way of work on a structured Learning Application Proposal (LAP), and any discussion and follow up back at work that participants will be encouraged to pursue.

The program is grounded in research and experience, and follows the Centre's model of executive action, involving experiential learning, structured analysis of issues, and guided reflection. Peer interaction and the facilitated exchange of peer experiences and insights forms a significant part of the overall learning process.

The Management Masterclass addresses topics such as strategic thinking, linking strategy to performance, people management and leadership communication, change management and innovation and encourages participants to link their learning on the program directly to action in their workplaces.

The Learning Application Proposal (LAP) developed by participants over the course of the program will embed the learnings generated throughout the modules and provide immediate benefit back into their workplaces.
