Information for parents
If you’re sending your child overseas to study, you want to know that they will feel secure, healthy and happy. At Murdoch University, we offer a range of support and services to help our international students connect with other students, keep safe and well, and succeed in their studies.
Doctor appointments and medical treatment
Our students have access to a team of qualified and experienced doctors and nurses who are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. We have both male and female health practitioners with a variety of skills and experience to suit individual health needs.
Students can make doctor’s appointments on campus most days and a registered nurse is available for students and staff Monday to Friday through our walk-in triage clinic.
Chiropractic and psychology treatments
Our on-campus Murdoch University Chiropractic Clinic (MUCC) is a state-of-the-art patient centred teaching clinic open to the Murdoch community and members of the public. Our friendly and highly skilled team offer high quality chiropractic care, with inter-professional referral or management as needed.
Murdoch Psychology Clinic provides a clinical service for students who are experiencing a range of problems including anxiety and depression.
Security services around campus
Our campus security team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our services include security patrols of the campus and escorting students around campus after hours if they would like support. Our team is also responsible for emergency plans, managing keys and electronic access and the opening and securing of the main buildings and central teaching rooms.
