Bali Oral History Archive

The Bali Oral History Archive resulted from a research project on social and cultural change in Bali, carried out by Adrian Vickers, University of Wollongong and Carol Warren, School of Asian Studies at Murdoch University, with funding from the Australia Research Council.

The collection consists of interviews with contemporary Balinese people describing their lives and their views on culture and change in their society in the 20th century. The interviews are in Balinese or Indonesian languages.

Jennifer Lindsay Collection

The Jennifer Lindsay Collection contains printed material and DVDs on Indonesian media, dating from late new order, transition, to Post Soeharto Era, Reformasi (c.) 1995 to 2010.

The collection consists of research materials relating to media in Indonesia, including Eksponen magazine (radio magazine) from 1993 to 1998, Voice of Indonesia magazine from 1953 to 1958, research material from the late 1990’s about radio, recordings of TV dubbing in the 1990’s, interview notes about dubbing and the pornography issue and material on broadcasting laws.

Peet Collection

The Peet Collection contains the library and personal papers of the journalist George Peet (1902-1985) who was on staff of the Straits Times (Singapore) from 1923 to 1951.

The collection consists of published materials, clippings, and books relating largely to Singapore and Malaysian social history from the 1920’s to 1950’s.

Publications of the Allied Geographical Section Collection

The Allied Geographical Section (AGS) was formed with the task of compiling all the available geographical intelligence on the largely unmapped and underexplored south-west Pacific area (SWPA).

The collection consists of terrain studies, terrain handbooks and special reports of the Allied Geographical Section of the Allied Forces in World War II.
