Whittington Interceptor Sustainable Agriculture Land Treatment Society Incorporated (WISALTS) Collection

Harry Whittington OAM (1921-1999) devoted most of his life developing innovative solutions to the growing salinity problems in the Wheatbelt and South Western Australia. In 1978, a group of farmers were convinced by Harry’s ideas and formed the WISALTS organisation.

Solar Energy Research Institute of Western Australia (SERIWA) Collection

The Solar Energy Research Institute of Western Australia (SERIWA) was a government-funded body set up to support research, develop, test and promote solar power and associated projects. The Institute was incorporated into the Murdoch University Energy Research Institute (MUERI) in 1987. The collection consists of reports and documents published by SERIWA from 1979 to 1985.

History of Chiropractic Collection

The History of Chiropractic Collection creates a physical and digital collection of historical chiropractic items, documents, photographs, video and audio recordings available to scholars for research. The collection consists of newspaper clippings, books, documents, letters, photographs, objects and various framed items.

Stan Gorringe Collection

Stanley (Stan) Clarence Gorringe (1905-1986) was a painter and signwriter by trade and a keen amateur sportsman, who competed in wrestling, rowing, distance running, gymnastics, fencing and weightlifting. Stan was the first winner of the "Mr. Perth" bodybuilding title and first instructor of the University of Western Australia Fencing Club in 1948.

The collection contains memorabilia, certificates, photographs and newspaper cuttings covering Stan's sporting activities. Also monographs, pamphlets and magazines related to sports, physical development, physical education, fitness and well-being, human anatomy and diet.
