The Library can provide:

  • help to retrieve items from our shelves
  • one-on-one consultations with a Librarian
  • assistance with copying and printing (standard copying and printing fees apply).

Once you have registered, you can:

  • get extended loans from the High Demand collection (subject to availability)

Visiting the Library

See Campus Maps and Parking to locate disability access and parking options. Trained guide dogs and other identified companion animals are welcome in the Library in accordance with Murdoch By-Laws Part II Section 14 No.1.

Lifts in North and South Wings to access all Library levels. Accessible toilets are located in South Wing Level 3 and Learning Common North Wing Level 2.

Study spaces

Access and Inclusion Resource Rooms

There are two Access and Inclusion Resource Rooms with assistive technologies and ergonomic equipment located at the Geoffrey Bolton Library. These rooms are wheelchair accessible and include a range of equipment and software available to registered students who require such technologies.

Access to these rooms is available via swipe access to approved students. Contact the Access and Inclusion Office for more information.

Access and Inclusion Study Rooms

There are three bookable individual study rooms available exclusively for registered Access & Inclusion users. These rooms are ideal for silent, individual study in an environment with minimal distractions. Each room is equipped with a desk, a chair and a power point. Please note that these rooms are not wheelchair accessible.

We also have an individual study room that has been set up as a sensory space. It is ideal for silent, individual study in an environment with minimal distractions and with sensory items such as a beanbag and a selection of fidgets, as well as a desk, chair and power point.

Other Study Spaces

Along with the Access and Inclusion Rooms, the Geoffrey Bolton Library has general individual study rooms that are equipped with a desk, a chair and a power point. To book an individual study room, see Library Bookings. Please note that these rooms may not be wheelchair accessible.  

Additionally, you can use silent study zones which are best for individual, silent study. They can be found in the Geoffrey Bolton Library at the following locations:

  • Level 1, South Wing
  • Level 2, South Wing
  • Level 2, Computer Lab 2.006
  • Level 2, Computer Lab 2.010
  • Level 2, South Wing, Room 2.005D
  • Level 4, South Wing

Computer labs and learning common areas are also available for use.
