LIB100: Get started with Library Search

You will need to use relevant and reliable sources of information for your university assignments. 
This workshop will cover foundational search strategy skills to help you find journal articles, scholarly books and other resources.

You will learn to:
  • Use Library Search effectively
  • Identify the words to use when searching for articles on your assignment topic
  • Join search words together to create a search string
  • Filter the search results to find relevant articles, such as peer-reviewed articles or within a given date range.

Who should attend:
Anyone needing to develop foundational academic search strategy skills, including but not limited to
  • First-year undergraduate students
  • New to Murdoch students of any level
If you are unable to attend this Workshop, the Library's Develop your research skills will help you to get started with searching.
