Referring vet services

Our Farm Animal team provides expert veterinary care for your clients’ animals with professionalism and high standards. We have a team of large animal specialists based in the hospital delivering advanced surgery, medicine, imaging and diagnostics to a wide range of large animal species. Our treatment encompasses dairy herds, beef cattle, sheep, goats, small-scale pigs, backyard poultry and camelids, large scale, small scale, or pet farm animals.

Our team offer consultancy services to farms in Western Australia and Internationally on the following:

  • Data analysis
  • Herd health reviews
  • Disease control, eradication and quarantine programs
  • Disease investigations
  • Nutritional advice
  • Reproductive services e.g. Sperm morphological assessment/bull breeding soundness
  • Complex case management and hospital referrals
  • Vet tech services e.g. vaccination, mobility scores, FAMACHA scoring
  • Second opinions
  • CPD/skills training for our farm veterinarians:
    • Bull breeding soundness
    • Lameness in cattle– hoof trimming and lesion treatment
    • Farm data analysis – making the most of on-farm data to drive management decisions

We have a newly renovated barn equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for a range of farm animals needing complex management, including surgical or emergency procedures, which can’t be managed on farm. 

Availability

The Farm animal team are available Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm.

If your clients require veterinary assistance at their property, we're available to travel to your client during business hours but currently don't offer an after-hours emergency service for farm animals.
