How to accept your Murdoch University offer as an International Student

If your application to study at Murdoch is successful, you'll receive a Confirmation of Offer letter by email. Read on to find out what you need to do in order to secure your place and get started.

Accepting your offer

To accept your offer and secure your place at Murdoch University, you simply need to email the following documents to accept.international@murdoch.edu.au:

  • Your completed and signed Acceptance Form (attached to your offer letter)
  • A coloured copy of your passport (the page with your photo)
  • Evidence of Overseas Students Health Cover (OSHC)*
  • A copy of the receipt from the payment of your compulsory deposit, as indicated on your Confirmation of Offer letter
  • If applicable, your signed Advanced Standing letter. This letter outlines credits and exemptions from prior study. If you haven’t already applied for Advanced Standing and believe you are eligible, please send an email to international.admissions@murdoch.edu.au

*Unless your country has an insurance arrangement in place, you'll need to purchase Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for yourself and members of your family to be covered for the duration of your student visa. At Murdoch University our preferred OSHC provider is Allianz Care Australia, and their rate is quoted on your Confirmation of Offer letter.

Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE)

Once the above documents have been submitted and reviewed, you'll receive an electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) letter. This letter is evidence that will allow you to begin your visa application process through The Department of Home Affairs, also known as Immigration.

Organising your student visa

All international students require a valid visa in order to study in Australia. You can apply for your student visa by either visiting The Department of Home Affairs website, or with the assistance of your agent.

In addition to your Confirmation of Enrolment, you may be required to provide other documentation as part of your visa application, including financial, health insurance, and language skills evidence.

Please note, if you are under the age of 18, the Australian Government requires additional documents in regard to accommodation, support and welfare arrangements, before you can accept your offer letter and be granted a student visa.

Activate your student account and email

Once your acceptance is processed, you'll be able to activate your student account, using the Murdoch Student Number in your Confirmation of Offer letter.

Your student number is your Murdoch identification, and is used as your username to log in to the Murdoch website. We recommend visiting the Murdoch University Online Response System as soon as possible after accepting your offer. After activating your student account and creating a password, you'll be able to enrolling in units and choose your timetable.

Your student email address will be your STUDENT NUMBER followed by “@student.murdoch.edu.au”. For example 12345678@student.murdoch.edu.au. You can access your student inbox through the Outlook website.

Congratulations! You're on your way to studying at Murdoch.

Make sure you check your inbox regularly for emails from Murdoch. We'll send you helpful advice on planning your journey to Australia, including predeparture information, booking your free airport pick up and key orientation dates.
