Educational advancement with CAVE

Continuing veterinary education at Murdoch University has its origins in the late 1980s and has supported thousands of veterinarians on their professional journeys since its humble beginnings.

From supporting our students in the later stages of their degree, and through their transition into practising veterinarians, to training highly experienced veterinarians in advanced surgical techniques, the Centre for Advanced Veterinary Education provides professional development opportunities for all levels of veterinary practitioner.

Veterinary medicine is continually evolving and changing, underscoring the need to keep up with new pharmaceutical approaches, improved treatment options and current research in the field.

The Centre is here to support you as you develop your confidence and competence by continuously updating and expanding your professional knowledge and skills throughout your professional career.

Our goal is to provide you with the tools and knowledge to always deliver 'Best Practice Veterinary Medicine based on Research and Experience'.

Recognised as one of the top veterinary schools in the world, ranking #39 in 2025, places the School of Veterinary Medicine at Murdoch University in the top 6.5% of veterinary schools, globally.  Our faculty incorporate their world class research into every continuing veterinary education activity we offer, and are sought after continuing veterinary education teachers, many of whom teach and travel internationally.

We look forward to welcoming you to one of our future events, be that online or in person on our beautiful bush campus right in the heart of the Perth Metropolitan Area in Western Australia.
