The Strength Challenge : For all Fitness Levels

Are you ready to discover what you’re capable of? Join Murdoch Active's Lift for Life Challenge – a six-week journey starting on the 2nd March where the focus is on setting and meeting your own personal strength targets. 

FREE to enter and open to students, staff and the wider community, this challenge is all about learning, improving and building your form and technique and working with our staff in a supportive environment to meet your targets.   

What’s involved 

Over 6 weeks, you’ll aim to meet your personal target in the 4 following lifts: 

  • Squat 
  • Bench Press 
  • Deadlift
  • Hip Thrust

How to join

  1. Register online 
  2. Work with our trainers to set your targets
  3. Download our challenge check in sheet (or pick one up in the Gym!)  
  4. Train, grow and push your limits  
  5. Log your final lifts with a member of staff by the 17th April  
  6. Celebrate our progress together!

Challenge Dates  

Set your initial targets by attending one of our lift for life classes (Tues/Thurs 4pm) or by attending a consult with our gym trainers by the 6th March. 

  • Start : 2nd March 2026 
  • End : 12th April 2026  

Challenge Rules

  • Olympic straight bar only
  • Weight belt allowed
  • No wrist straps allowed.
