In this Australian-led global initiative, ASAVI aims to reduce the disease burden caused by Strep A infections through effective vaccination.
ASAVI is an Australian-led global initiative with the goal of reducing the disease burden caused by Strep A infections through effective vaccination. This project, developing a blueprint for vaccine trials in Aboriginal communities is an Aboriginal-led, comprehensive, culturally secure community engagement and consultation with Aboriginal people and stakeholders in the Perth metropolitan area and in rural and remote communities in the Northern Territory and Queensland. This project is a collaboration between The Kids Research Institute Australia and Coolamon Research and Advocacy Centre, Ngangk Yira Institute for Change and is a foundational component of ASAVI.
