Requesting access

Only staff members with a current Murdoch University account are able to access Sitefinity and manage content.

To gain access to the Sitefinity CMS please follow the steps below:

  1. Open the Sitefinity login page (URL available on request);
  2. Select the Murdoch sign-in option and enter your MU credentials;
    • Note: you will NOT be able to successfully log in on this first attempt, but this step is necessary in order to create your account.
  3. Contact the Digital Operations team to complete your account set up. We will need to know:
    • Which site(s) you need access to;
    • Whether you will be a content editor, or if you are also authorised to approve and publish content;
    • Whether you have previously received Sitefinity training - if not, training will be required before you can be given access.

 

Logging in

To log into the Sitefinity CMS please follow the steps below:

  1. Open the Sitefinity login page (URL available on request);
  2. Select the Murdoch sign-in option and enter your MU credentials.

    Common login problems

    • Wrong URL: ensure you are using the correct URL when logging (the same one provided in the steps above). For example, the URL should not have any numbers at the end;
    • Wrong site selected: Please ensure you have selected the correct site when you login. If a site that you do not have permission to access is selected you will not be able to log in; in this instance you will usually see a drop-down list on the error page that will allow you to select the correct site.
