Images are the biggest consumer of space on the website. Excessive (or excessively large) images will increase the costs of running our website and can impact performance.
If you need to replace an existing image with a new version (e.g. a correctly optimised, resize or edited version of the image) please follow the procedure below. Do NOT upload a second, seperate version of the image unless you intend to unpublish and delete the original version.
How to replace an image:
- Prepare your replacement image, ensuring it is optimised and correctly resized;
- Find the image you wish to replace by logging into Sitefinity, navigating to Content > Images and searching or browsing for your image in the correct library;
- Select the image from the list;
- Click on the Image settings cog displayed near the lower right corner of the image and select Replace image;
- Upload your replacement image following the standard process for uploading your image.
