The Australian Seniors Aged Care Futures Grant is an annual initiative offering AUD $5,000 as a one-off payment to one recipient pursuing studies in aged care and related fields.

Australian Seniors, a leading insurance provider offering life, funeral, health, car, home & contents, landlord, pet, and travel insurance, is committed to supporting Australians over 50 — not only through its products, but also through meaningful community initiatives.

Recognising the vital role that qualified aged care workers play in supporting the elderly, Australian Seniors has launched the Aged Care Futures Grant Program. Each year, one full-time student will receive a $5,000 lump-sum grant to assist with their studies and help them pursue a career in aged care.

Eligible applicants must be enrolled at an accredited Australian tertiary education institution and studying for a certificate, diploma, degree, or traineeship in evidence-based care. Relevant fields of study include:

• Aged care

• Aged care nursing

• Dementia care

• Disability care

• Or similar courses leading to a career as an aged carer

Through this initiative, Australian Seniors aims to raise awareness of financial support opportunities and encourage more students to enter the aged care sector.
