The Kaadininny Advisory Board aims to provide cultural governance and strategic advice to Ngangk Yira Institute for Change researchers, projects and proposals.
The Advisory Board is comprised of scientific members, cultural members and senior leaders from key organisations in sectors related to the work of Ngangk Yira. Some members represent an organisation whilst others are members by virtue of their skills and expertise.

Director of the Ngangk Yira Institute for Change and Professor in Aboriginal Health, Rhonda leads a multidisciplinary team and a range of research projects addressing Aboriginal peoples’ questions of research priority. Her personal mantra is “nothing about us without us”.

Professor Coffin is a prominent Aboriginal researcher with research expertise in cultural security, education and research across a diverse range of interests including chronic diseases, nutrition, contextualising bullying, and health promotion. She holds a Bachelor of Education, a Master of Public Health and Tropical Medicine (with distinction) and a PhD with an award in excellence. Professor Coffin has a keen interest in Aboriginal languages and ways of learning and combines her education and cultural learnings to deliver outstanding translation of research into practice.

Josie is the Aboriginal Health Strategy Director for the South Metropolitan Health Service and is a passionate advocate for improving health outcomes for the Aboriginal community.
In her role, she provides cultural oversight and advice on all Aboriginal health-related matters across the health service.
