Initially interested in computer science, Jaiden di Lanzo decided to pursue his second tertiary education at Murdoch University. As a part of his degree, he had to take math units, which he then fell in love with. Now, Jaiden is majoring in Math & Stats. 

"It's applicable to quite literally everything, from business intelligence and marketing reporting to finance and applied sciences - anything to do with biological, medical or veterinary sciences." 

Not sure if you want to fully dedicate your studies to Maths and Stats? 

If you are considering a degree in Mathematics and Statistics but are not 100% sure if it's right for you, there are options available to you.

You may choose to study a Bachelor of Science (Mathematics & Statistics) which is a full-fledged but accessible degree which qualifies for Honour's study in Mathematics and Statistics.

You may also choose to study Applied Mathematics and Statistics, an accessible major that fits well alongside other degrees as the second major. It is a fully self-contained degree with no prerequisites beyond ATAR Maths Methods, but still includes options to accommodate other pathways, including lower-level high school maths.
