Dr Christopher Hodgetts recently travelled to Odense, Denmark, to participate in the Chiropractic Academy of Research Leadership (CARL) III cohort residential, hosted at the University of Southern Denmark by Professors Jon Adams and Jan Hartvigsen.
The intensive weekend brought together early career researchers from across the globe — including Australia, Canada, the United States, Norway, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain, England and Denmark — for a series of thought-provoking presentations, collaborative workshops, and rich discussions on the future of musculoskeletal health research.
In true Aussie style, the Australian fellows introduced the group to Australian Rules Football, with many CARL participants (and even the mentors!) picking up the game surprisingly well. The friendly match brought out some competitive fire — particularly between Professors Jan and Jon — and added a great dose of fun and connection to an already unforgettable weekend.
As part of the CARL III cohort, Dr Hodgetts is contributing to a global initiative aimed at advancing evidence-informed care and building research leadership in chiropractic and musculoskeletal health. We look forward to following the progress of this remarkable collaboration.
