Our research
Murdoch has been awarded a five-star rating for research, innovation and learning, with a focus on multidisciplinary translational research.
The disciplines within our School underpin all other sciences, engineering and technology, including data science. This foundational knowledge is sought when tackling new and/or challenging problems, whether it is in industry, research or the environment.
Our staff bring expertise in a wide range of areas and are deeply connected nationally and internationally in their fields and are working with various bodies within the public and private sectors applying this knowledge.
Many critically important (and fascinating) problems sit at the interface between several disciplines (e.g. those in health, sustainability, food security, critical minerals) and it is here that our multidisciplinary school excels.
Students will find a supportive, friendly and modern learning environment. They gain a unique blend of theoretical and practical expertise. Our focus on applications will give you the hands-on experience and problem-solving skills that are highly sought after by employers in a variety of industries, both locally and beyond.
Our approachable staff are always available to answer questions and provide guidance, making your academic journey a positive and memorable experience. It may even be fun. Whether you're looking to pursue a degree in one or more of our fields or combine them with topics from across Murdoch University, we are here to help you succeed.
