Murdoch University recently completed a dynamic and impactful outreach tour across Bangladesh, attending nine key events that showcased its academic excellence and commitment to global education. The tour included six full-day roadshows—some extending into the evening—and a special university visit where a packed audience of over 100 attendees gathered to hear about the opportunities Murdoch offers.

The events drew enthusiastic participation from more than 500 prospective students, over 20 counsellors, and several agency leaders. Interest in Murdoch’s programs was overwhelming, with Information Technology leading the demand, followed closely by Business, Engineering, and the suite of DIT, RMT, and HDR programs.

The team’s presence was more than just promotional—it was transformational. Several new applications were submitted on the spot, and the visit strengthened relationships with local agencies and communities, promising a lasting positive impact.

A standout moment came when Professor Ferdous Sohel was invited to speak on a national TV channel in Bangladesh, discussing higher education in Australia and Murdoch’s role in shaping global futures. The interview aired the same day and can be viewed here.

This successful tour not only highlighted Murdoch’s academic strengths but also reinforced its position as a trusted and inspiring choice for students in South Asia.

A proud milestone was also achieved during this period: an Indian school team mentored by a Murdoch University representative won the prestigious HEX Study Australia Entrepreneurship Challenge 2025, emerging victorious among 60 competing teams. This achievement highlights the global reach of Murdoch’s academic influence and reinforces the university’s commitment to nurturing innovation and leadership in young minds across borders.
