Learning from Leaders: Building Careers Through Mentoring
Building on the success of its inaugural launch, the Murdoch University Business Leaders and Professionals to Student Mentoring Programme led by Dr Stephen Tan has expanded to welcome a larger community of Mentors and Mentees, bringing together experienced industry professionals and students in a structured and rewarding journey of connection, learning and professional growth.
Students across different disciplines are paired with Mentors from a diverse range of sectors, providing a unique opportunity to explore career pathways, gain industry insights, and build professional confidence through meaningful conversations. Over six mentoring sessions, participants will develop relationships founded on trust, curiosity, openness, mutual respect and a shared commitment to growth.
The recent Onboarding and Partnership Launch Event hosted on Friday 9th October marked the beginning of these mentoring relationships, bringing Mentors and Menees together to establish the foundations of meaningful partnerships. While students benefit from the experience, insights and guidance from accomplished business leaders and professionals, Mentors gain fresh perspectives from the next generation of graduates and emerging workforce, creating opportunities for shared learning, reflection and growth.
