Open to a career in Education

Open to a career in Education Day

Do you have a memory of your favourite teacher from school? Maybe it was a teacher that went the extra mile to share their knowledge with you, inspired you to push yourself or was simply a supportive figure throughout your education?

Do you like the idea of being a role model and leader to the next generation, and maybe someone's favourite teacher some day?

If so, it sounds like you could be open to a career in education!

Teachers play such an important role in the lives of young people, whether it’s simply by being a mentor or by helping them to discover their passion.

Whether you're inspired to teach young children, guide primary students, or lead in secondary classrooms, our courses are designed to help you become a confident, capable, and compassionate educator.

But it’s not just learning from a textbook, you’ll get experiences that help to get you in the feel of working in a real classroom, like the SimLab, an innovative virtual reality technology which mimics a real classroom allowing you to practice teaching techniques, manage different personalities in a classroom, and manage challenge situations in a risk-free environment.

Once you’ve honed your skills in the virtual world, you will take your learnings out to the real world through a prac placement in a school, giving you a chance to work in dynamic classroom environments which represent the real world you’ll be working in one day.

All of these learning experiences will equip you with everything you need to head out into the teaching world full of confidence, ready to shape the next generation.
