College of Health & Education Awards 2023
Students and lecturers from the School of Allied Health were celebrated at a recent award ceremony hosted by the College of Health and Education.
Each year the College of Health and Education celebrates the successes of students and staff over the past year.
Professor Guillermo Campitelli, Pro Vice Chancellor of Health and Education and Associate Professor Brad Wall, Dean of the School of Allied Health, awarded the prizes.
Chelsey Philips was awarded the Graduate Counselling Perseverance Award for committing herself to her studies despite adversity.
Overall, student successes were celebrated, with Annabel Wallace awarded the Chiropractic Graduate of the Year. The increasing successes of the school’s postgraduate research students were commended through two awards. These awards are based on research publications and highlight the cumulation of academic learning and excellence. Kelsey Sewell was awarded the Higher Degree by Research Prize for the research paper published in Alzheimer’s & Dementia. Jacky Soo was awarded the Exercise Research Prize for the research paper published in the European Journal of Applied Physiology.
Dr Brook Galna received the Learning and Teaching citation for improvements in student experience, engagement ant learning
