Sound On Festival is back in time for summer 2021!
With a fresh new summer vibe, an Aussie-based line-up will take to the stage at RAC Arena on December 18 for Perth’s favourite festival for high schoolers.
Presented by Murdoch University, Sound On Festival will include a headlining set by What So Not, along with performances by Spacey Jane, San Cisco, G-Nat!on, Arno Faraji, Bexx, Jamilla and DJ Nik.
Sound On Festival is the perfect way to kickstart summer plans, giving West Australian teenagers a chance to fire their imaginations, explore their passions and create new friendships and connections.
In addition to hours of live music, festival goers will also experience the likes of:
- 360 photobooths to capture their own rock star moment,
- An immersive Murdoch University Gaming Hub,
- A silent disco to get grooving,
- A chill out space to recover and soak in the moment and;
- A glitter braid bar so attendees can up their festival aesthetic.
Originally planned for August 28, the 2021 Sound On Festival was postponed due to COVID-19 restrictions preventing the previous artist line-up travelling to Perth.
Director of Marketing and Communications at Murdoch University, Neil Cullingford said the team have since worked hard to put together an unmissable line-up of local artists that embody the Sound On and free-thinking ethos of Murdoch University, while keeping the health and safety of attendees front-of-mind.
“After many snap lockdowns, border restrictions and almost two years of interrupted schooling, Sound On Festival 2021 will be the summer event for high schoolers in Western Australia to celebrate their hard work this year with their peers.
We are excited to welcome back our Sound On fans and festival newcomers to this year’s unique Sound On experience.”
Sound On Festival is a drug and alcohol-free event for high school students in Years 7-12 only.

Tickets already purchased for Sound On 2021 will still be valid for the new festival date, December 18.
