Open Day event postponed
Due to the severe weather conditions associated with Cyclone Narelle, Murdoch University has made the difficult decision to postpone Open Day scheduled for this Saturday 28 March.
The safety and wellbeing of our community is our highest priority. As always, we want to ensure prospective students’ experience on campus are not only enjoyable, but safe.
Murdoch University Vice Chancellor Andrew Deeks said the University had been monitoring the weather closely, and given the forecasted conditions, has decided Open Day cannot go ahead at this time.
"The safety of our students, staff, vendors, and community is paramount – and while we were looking forward to a fantastic event showcasing all that Murdoch has to offer, we feel postponing is a necessary step," he said.
“The thoughts of our entire University community are with all residents of any communities that may be affected as they prepare for the arrival of Cyclone Narelle.”
