Murdoch University has won Best Content Marketing Program in Education for the This is Free Thinking microsite at the 2020 Content Marketing Awards.

Placing top among finalists such as the University of Limerick and the Royal Bank of Canada, the This is Free Thinking microsite has been recognised for its documented strategy for content marketing in the industry-specific niche for education.

Associate Director Marketing Services, Kristen Tyler, says the award is much-deserved recognition of the efforts put in by the Murdoch University Marketing team.

“This is great recognition for a very talented team of marketers. There was a lot of hard work put in from the team to build this campaign from scratch with great stories supported by amazing photography and videography content within a bespoke microsite that houses it all.”

The This is Free Thinking microsite launched in 2019 to showcase the Murdoch University experience through storytelling.

"Content marketing has been a key focus for the team and the This is Free Thinking campaign is a fantastic representation of the Murdoch University experience, so it’s amazing to see this being recognised,” says Tyler.

Among the win for Best Content Marketing Program in Education, Murdoch University also placed as a finalist in three other categories including Most Innovative Content Distribution Strategy (This is Free Thinking), Best Multi-Author Blog (Murdoch News and Opinion), and Best Content-Specific Blog Series for the Raising Teenagers series featured on Murdoch News and Opinion.

Presented and owned by the Content Marketing Institute in the United States, the Content Marketing Awards accepts submissions from industry agents and marketers from around the world across 85 different categories in the strategy, design, editorial and distribution of content marketing projects each year.

As the category winner for Best Content Marketing Program in Education, Murdoch University now has a chance of being nominated for one of the top seven Content Marketing Award prizes awarded at the 2020 Content Marketing World conference, presented by the Content Marketing Institute.
