Murdoch University and Kaplan Higher Education Academy in Singapore have announced the extension of their strategic partnership for another 15 years.
- In partnership since 2010, Murdoch University and Kaplan have renewed their collaboration for another 15 years.
- The renewed commitment will see new programs in STEM and sustainability being offered to students in Singapore.
- A projected 18,000 Murdoch University graduates are expected over the next 15 years of this partnership.
The latest partnership agreement will expand the educational offerings to include new degree programs in STEM and sustainability delivered by Murdoch through Kaplan.
This marks the third renewal of the partnership between Murdoch and Kaplan with the first two being signed in 2010 and 2015.
To date, this strong partnership has produced over 13,000 Murdoch graduates who studied and graduated in Singapore with degrees spanning Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Tourism, Business and more.
This latest renewal is poised to produce an additional 18,000 Murdoch graduates in Singapore over the next 15 years.
History of Murdoch University in Singapore
Sharing the University’s history in Singapore, Professor Peter Waring, Pro Vice-Chancellor Transnational Education and Singapore Dean for Murdoch said:
“The story of Murdoch University in Singapore is one of continued growth and strengthening reputation.
"Murdoch University is widely known and regarded in Singapore with more than 25,000 alumni in the city state – more than half of whom studied and graduated in Singapore.
"We chose to work with Kaplan nearly 15 years ago because of their strong reputation and commitment to excellence in higher education.
We choose to continue this relationship for another 15 years as we are confident that with Kaplan as our partner, we can grow from strength to strength.”

Partnership Agreement Signing Ceremony
To commemorate the milestone, a signing ceremony was held which saw Dr Khoo, Murdoch University Vice Chancellor Professor Andrew Deeks, and Deputy Vice Chancellor Global Engagement Professor Simon McKirdy, inking the renewed partnership agreement at Kaplan's new campus at Odeon 331.
