World's First Underwater Classroom
Pull on your digital wetsuit and get ready to learn a bit more about what's going on under the sea in a world first underwater classroom experience.
On Friday 27 February, seagrass expert, Associate Professor Mike Van Kuelen Keulen, and marine scientist, Kurt Krispyn, will be coming to you live from beneath the surface to provide a unique perspective of marine scientists in the field.
The livestream will focus on important topics around the ecological importance of seagrass meadows, the impact of climate change and coastal erosion, the process of conducting fieldwork and the opportunities for future marine scientists.
Supported by Murdoch University and the Western Australian Marine Science Institution (WAMSI), this one‑hour livestream will bring audiences face‑to‑face with the underwater world, offering a rare chance to watch marine science unfold in real time.
