In this engaging session, Dr Sebastian Zander, senior lecturer at Murdoch University, will share best practices in personal cybersecurity. covering topics like password management, multi-factor authentication, software updates, and more.
Dr Sebastian Zander has previously worked as a Research Fellow at Swinburne University of Technology in Australia and as a Scientist at Fraunhofer FOKUS in Germany. He received his PhD in Telecommunications Engineering from Swinburne University of Technology in 2010. From 2018 to 2019, he was a Senior Software Engineer at Netflix. Sebastian’s research areas include cybersecurity and networking, with a focus on IoT security, covert channels, network traffic classification, congestion control, and IPv6. Sebastian co-authored the Wiley book “Information Hiding in Communication Networks”, over 50 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers, and two IETF RFCs.
