Books (BONUS+)

If a book is not available from our print collection, you may be able to request it from another university library in the BONUS+ network.

Loan periods and conditions

• 21 day loan period with two renewals.
• Undergraduates: 5 loans, Postgraduates: 10 loans.
• Fines apply for late or lost items.
• Delivery is within 4-7 working days.
• Use MyLibrary to track and manage your requests.

Journal articles (ArticleReach)

You can request a copy of a journal article using ArticleReach if it is not available from our collections.

Submitting a request

1. If full text is not available via Library Search or Databases, click ‘Request it now’ or ‘Findit@Murdoch’
2. Alternatively, search the ArticleReach catalogue directly.
3. Click ‘Request it now’ to submit a request through ArticleReach.
4. Enter your Murdoch login details to complete your request.

Delivery is within 2-7 working days. Use MyLibrary to access your article.

Document Delivery

If your BONUS+ or ArticleReach request is unsuccessful, we can attempt to locate and supply items from other libraries. This service is available to academic staff, postgraduate and honours students and staff with supervisor permission.

Submitting a request

1. Login to Libraries Australia to search for an item.
2. Select ‘Get this item’.
3. Select 'Loan' or 'Copy' and complete the form.

Delivery depends on the nature of the item, its location and availability. Contact us for an update on your request. Supply of theses or large requests may require payment.

In Person

As a Murdoch University student or staff, you may apply to borrow from libraries in Australia or overseas.

WA university libraries

You can apply for library membership at University of WA, Curtin University, Edith Cowan University and University of Notre Dame.

Reciprocal Registration

Take your Murdoch University ID card on your first visit to complete registration. Check individual library websites for borrowing conditions and limits.

University Libraries in Australia and New Zealand (ULANZ)

You can apply in person for membership for participating libraries in the ULANZ Borrowing Scheme. To apply, go to the host library with photo ID and proof of your current enrolment/employment at Murdoch.
