Overview
Would you like to build a career out of making a difference to people’s lives? Nurses do just that by providing healthcare in times of need – from acute health issues in emergency departments to home visits that assist the elderly to remain in their homes for longer.
Combine the professional person-centred approach of nursing with psychosocial and biological sciences as you learn the skills needed to become a Registered Nurse. You’ll also be equipped with lifetime access to a web-based ePortfolio, to showcase your knowledge and experience to prospective employees when you graduate.
You can complete your Nursing degree in three years of full-time study or within six years of part-time study.

Professional recognition
This course is accredited by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC), and has specific requirements for registration that you must meet to qualify for admission.
When you graduate, you’ll be eligible for registration in the Registered Nurse Category of the Register at the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and the Nurses and Midwives Board of Australia. Once you have successfully completed the degree and registered, you're accredited to work nationally in Australia.

As per normal undergraduate admission requirements, plus a clear National Police Clearance and English language competencies as described below. Recommended ATAR subjects are: Human Biological Science ATAR, Maths Applications ATAR, and Chemistry ATAR.
English Requirements
You must meet a minimum standard in English to study at Murdoch, which can be demonstrated through either English proficiency tests, university preparation courses, English language courses, previous tertiary study or vocational education.

If you achieve an ATAR of 60.00 - 89.95, a Murdoch RISE adjustment factor of up to 10.00 points may help you get into your preferred course. Murdoch RISE can increase your selection rank up to a maximum of 90.00.

Following your successful application, you’ll receive a Letter of Offer which will contain specific course and fee information.
If you are applying for an undergraduate course, you may be eligible for a Commonwealth Supported Place. Postgraduate programs are full fee paying, unless indicated otherwise in your Letter of Offer.
