Our Accelerated Research Masters with Training is a globally recognised, 12-month alternative pathway for graduate students who wish to expand their knowledge and undertake research in any given area.
The course has a deep focus on an interdisciplinary approach, where you will work collectively with your peers to address and provide answers to key United Nations Sustainable Development Goals through a tailored unit in design thinking. You will also learn about research methods, the importance of research impact and you will work with a supervisory team to undertake research in your chosen area of interest. To be eligible for admission as a candidate into the M1315 Accelerated Research Masters with Training an applicant must: • have a Bachelor Degree in the same or cognate discipline (AQF level 7); or • have a Bachelor Degree in a different discipline (AQF level 7) and: 1. have successfully completed a graduate course incorporating research training of at least six months of equivalent full-time study (AQF level 8); or 2. satisfy the Dean of Graduate Research with evidence of significant scholarly or professional attainments equivalent to AQF level 8. Internet access is required for students studying externally; exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Before potential candidates apply for admission to a graduate research project at Murdoch University, they will need to write a research proposal (2 pages). For the best chance of being accepted, they should also find and nominate a potential principal supervisor. Given the amount of time and effort candidates will be investing in their research, it is important that potential candidates select a research topic inspires them and will keep them motivated throughout the research journey. If you are applying for an undergraduate course, you may be eligible for a Commonwealth Supported Place. Postgraduate programs are full fee paying, unless indicated otherwise in your Letter of Offer.

If you are a full fee paying student, this may occur at the start of your second and each subsequent year of study.
