- 1 semester full-time (if commencing in Semester 1) or part-time equivalent subject to unit availability. Students commencing mid-year (Semester 2) will need 1.5 years minimum enrolment (a total of 3 semesters) to complete requirements.
The Graduate Certificate in Health Care Management aims to cultivate excellence in quality, leadership and management in health professionals working in quality, safety, risk and middle management roles in acute, community, mental health, primary and aged care in public and private sectors.
This course will provide fundamental skills for a range of management positions within the health service industry.
After graduating from this course, you may apply for admission to the Master of Health Care Management and will be exempt from the units already completed that are common to both degrees.
As a graduate of this course you will meet consumer expectations of the healthcare system and fulfil industry demand for increased middle management skills in order to enhance the quality of services.Positions such as Accreditation Coordinator, Quality Manager, and Quality and Risk Manager are essential within health services, particularly the private and aged care sectors. Upon successful completion of this course you will be in a favourable position to fill such roles.
