Apply for Exchange
Are you ready for the adventure of a lifetime? Apply to spend a semester or a whole year studying and exploring another country with the Murdoch Exchange Program.
You can apply online to go on Exchange with one of our international partner universities. While there is no “best time” to go on Exchange, many students find it more flexible academically to study overseas prior to their final semester of study.
Want to go on Exchange in Semester 2 2021? Join the Murdoch Outbound LMS community to access the application.
After submitting your application, you need to email these documents to email@example.com before the deadline:
- your photo (JPG or PNG format)
- an academic reference from a tutor or lecturer that has taught you at Murdoch University – see our template.
We can talk you through the application process and make sure you get everything organised.
Note: You should only apply for Exchange if you are serious about studying overseas. Although withdrawal is possible, declining your place after the deadline may affect other students placements.
|Exchange semester||Apply by|
|Semester 1||31 August|
|Semester 2 (USA/Canada)||31 January|
|Semester 2 (Europe/Asia)||28 February|
Late applications can be considered, subject to availability, however you will not be eligible for any Exchange scholarships.
There is no separate scholarship application. When you apply for Exchange and send your supporting documents by the deadline, you are automatically considered for available scholarships. Your letter of motivation will be marked against other applications and we will interview you after the deadline has passed.
After you apply
When the deadline has passed and your application assessed, you will be allocated a place at one of your two university choices. After you have applied to your host university, you will receive the acceptance letter within 6 to 8 weeks. We will email you with the documents needed to apply to your host university, and also invite you for a scholarship interview.
