Improve your job search skills with a workshop run by one of our Career Development Advisors or attend an expo, fair or networking event to connect with employers in your industry.
Workshops, events and employer presentations are offered regularly throughout both semesters and are available to both students and recent graduates. Check the events tab on CareerConnect to find out about employer presentations on campus or check our Facebook page.
Come to a careers event
Careers and Employability hosts and promotes careers fairs, expos, career boot camps and other industry events throughout the year, ideal for connecting with potential employers and networking with industry professionals.
There are three main on-campus events held each year:
Graduate Careers Expo – Held in early Semester 1, the Graduate Careers Fair will introduce final year students to employers advertising graduate programs for the following year.
Access Experience Fair – Held during Semester 2, the Access Experience Fair is relevant for all students. The fair showcases experience opportunities offered by industry, Murdoch and the Guild.
Career boot camps/Professional development days – Career boot camps and professional development days are one-day intensive skill development and industry networking events for final year students held throughout the year.
Each semester we offer a range of workshops, designed to help you:
- write a professional resume and cover letter
- find part-time or casual work
- interview with confidence
- network and engage professionally with employers.
Understand what employers want
Employer presentations provide you with the opportunity to learn about graduate employment and student opportunities in your field of study. It also gives you a better understanding of the skills and abilities valued by employers.
Presentations are held throughout the year.
