Academic Progress

A student achieves Satisfactory Academic Progress by passing units with a value of at least 50% of the credit points in which they were enrolled after the last date for withdrawal without penalty of the teaching period under review.

A student makes Unsatisfactory Academic Progress when they fail more than 50% of the credit points in which they are enrolled in two consecutive teaching periods.

The University has Cause for Concern when a student has one of the following outcomes in any teaching period:

(a) Fails more than 50% of the credit points in which they were enrolled after the last date for withdrawal for the teaching period under review;

(b) Fails a unit;

(c) Withdraws from all units between the census date and the last date to withdraw with a ‘Withdrawn/WD’ outcome; or

(d) Is awarded a supplementary assessment.
