Graduate Certificate in Education (International Education)

If you want to teach or have taught in international schools, or if you want to internationalise your curriculum, the Graduate Certificate in Education (International Education) is for you. This course, designed for teaching professionals, explores the concept of internationalisation with a specific focus on the International Baccalaureate (IB) suite of programmes: Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme and Diploma Programme. Students develop a teaching portfolio throughout the course and have opportunities to observe and converse with international school teachers. On completion, the Graduate Certificate is recognised by the International Baccalaureate as meeting the requirements of the IB Certificate in Teaching and Learning (also the IB Advanced Certificate in Teaching and Learning if have five years prior teaching experience, three of which must include IB teaching). Graduate Certificate in Education (Secondary Mathematics 7-10)

Designed for qualified teachers, the Graduate Certificate in Education (Secondary Mathematics 7-10) will provide you with both the practical skills and knowledge required to teach lower secondary mathematics. This one year part-time course is particularly relevant to Primary teachers who want the flexibility to teach mathematics in lower high school. In this course, you will learn both mathematics and statistics for secondary teaching as well as secondary mathematics curriculum and practical methods of instruction.

Graduate Certificate in Education (Secondary Science 7-10)

Designed for qualified teachers, the Graduate Certificate in Education (Secondary Science 7-10) will provide you with both the practical skills and knowledge required to teach lower secondary science. This one year part-time course is particularly relevant to Primary teachers who want the flexibility to teach science in lower high school. In this course, you will learn both chemistry and physics for secondary teaching as well as secondary science curriculum and practical methods of instruction.

Master of Education (Coursework)

If you're a teacher, educational administrator or professional, this course gives you the opportunity to expand on your expertise and learn new skills. This course will allow you to become a leader capable of addressing critical issues in educational practice, policy and research. We take a flexible approach to learning, providing a range of internal and external study options to help our students fit study around their work and lifestyle commitments, with most of our units being offered externally online. Our range of elective units also enables you to focus on international education, cultural diversity, language education, information communication technology and e-learning, curriculum studies (early childhood /primary/secondary), or leadership.
