Senate Membership (1973 - current) - Honour Roll

Membership of the University Senate is drawn from a diverse field and includes senior members of the professions and the community, members elected by the academic and general staff, and members elected by the graduates of the University (Convocation). Some positions are filled by the holders of designated offices or their nominees.

Specific duties of the Senate includes overseeing the development and adoption of institutional strategic plans and key policies, monitoring University performance against strategic objectives, approval of the University campus development Masterplan, approval of new capital works and buildings, overseeing the University finances and major financial decisions, and ensuring the University is acting ethically and in conformity with all legal requirements.
