VET629: Infectious and Parasitic Diseases

This unit reviews diagnosis and treatment of the major infectious and parasitic diseases of companion animals with an emphasis on the organisms of greatest importance in the Australian and Asian regions. Zoonotic diseases and the principles of infectious disease control are also discussed.

Enrolment in either International Postgraduate Certificate in Small Animal Practice or Master of Veterinary Studies in Small Animal Practice.
Students in the International Postgraduate Certificate must complete the offshore workshop prior to enrolment and must have reliable internet access.
Co-requisite: Internet access if studying externally.
