VET401: Applied Veterinary Medicine I
The first of a two-unit course leading to the BVMS. Clinical pathology, pathology and general medicine will be taught using an integrated approach based on body systems; components on diseases of horses, cattle, pigs, sheep, dogs and cats; instruction in medical, radiological, anaesthetic, surgical and necropsy procedures for all domesticated animals; components on therapeutics and reproduction and obstetrics and food animal production. Students will be expected to participate fully in all practical classes including those which involve live animals.
