These animal systems will be explored with an emphasis on the principles of domestication and sustainable agricultural practices, ecology, animal-plant interactions, plant identification, breed identification and basic welfare concepts. Practical exercises will utilise the Murdoch University farm to develop skills in plant recognition, and to train students in the safe handling of cattle, sheep, pigs and horses.
