TOU213: Tourism Marketing (Not available in 2010)

This unit introduces students to the marketing function and to the relevant factors which differentiate the marketing of services from products and applies these concepts to the special case of tourism. Students will explore differences associated with the distribution, development, pricing and promotion of tourism products. Specific topics will also include the distinction between niche and mass marketing, electronic marketing, demand generators and the effect of government policy.
