THE497: Australian Church History (Not available in 2010)

This seminar traces the developments of Christianity in Australia through the major churches that emerged in Australian society. It will look at these developments in the context of Australian social history and political history. The study of primary documents will form a major part of this unit. Other areas investigated will include the missionary-Aboriginal encounter, the churches and education, and Christianity in Western Australia.
