THE246: Teaching Religion in Schools (Not available in 2010)

This unit has been designed to meet the needs of people who expect to be teaching religious studies in schools. In the first instance, it has been tailored to the requirements of persons who, whilst qualified in other respects under the legislation referring to Special Religious Instruction, are not teacher-trained. In the 4-point mode, methods of classroom control, teaching and assessment are linked with monitored teaching experiences in school placements arranged during the unit.
