PSY622: Counselling: Placement and Supervision Group 3

Students complete their third placement in a different counselling environment, working with the supervision of a practising counsellor. Students participate in group supervision on campus, providing a link between training and supervision within the University and work and supervision on external placement. Counselling relationships, supervisory relationships, case conceptualisation and intervention are key elements in this unit. Students continue to develop their ability to engage with ethical issues, indigenous and CALD perspectives, and professional conduct through group supervision and seminars.

Assessment	An award of Ungraded Pass or Fail is awarded for this unit.
Contact Time	48 days of placement in consultation with the Placement Coordinator plus up to 3 hours per fortnight in supervision group.
Prerequisites	PSY621 Counselling Practicum 2 or by permission of the Academic Chair.
