PSY538: Clinical Psychology: Internal Practicum (Adult)

Placements are normally in the Murdoch Psychology Clinic. Placements will give students experience in various forms of investigation and intervention presently practised in clinical psychology. The principal aim is to apply knowledge, experience and research from all aspects of scientific psychology to health care, education and social problems. This unit was previously called Applied Psychology Practical Placements I: Clinical Stream.

Assessment	An award of Ungraded Pass or Fail is awarded for this unit.
Contact Time	Practical placements: 9 months at 1 day per week or equivalent.
Prerequisites	Enrolment in MAppPsych (Clinical), DPsych (Clinical) or MAppPsych (Clinical)/PhD; concurrent enrolment in PSY569 Psychotherapy in Practice.
Exclusions	Students who have successfully completed PSY561 Clinical Psychology; Internal Practicum may not enrol in this unit for credit.
