PSY171: Introduction to Applications of Psychology
Psychological study and practice covers the vast spectrum of all human behaviour and thought. This unit will explore some of the more interesting issues faced when working as a psychologist. The unit will focus on how psychologists work in such areas as: child development and education; counselling and treatment of clinical disorders; organisational management and human resources; and occupational safety. This unit will also cover issues of professionalism, ethics, regulation and the practicalities of becoming a psychological professional.
