PHA511: Pharmaceutics I (Not available in 2010)

This unit includes introduction to the physical aspects of pharmacy as a basis for the preparation of extemporaneous products such as creams, ointments, solutions, mixtures. Includes knowledge of appropriate labelling and packaging, and understanding of poison schedules. A key component will be a focus on calculations important in pharmacy.
