PEC423: Advanced Topics in Physics and Nanotechnology: Experimental

This unit extends the study of solid state, surfaces and interactions between radiation fields and solids. It aims to develop the analytical expertise of students by providing the theoretical background and laboratory experience and research skills necessary for undertaking research projects in Physics and Nanoscience/Nanotechnology. PEC423 has an experimental component which focuses on the manufacture and development of materials with various technologically important chemical and physical properties.

Prerequisites

Enrolment in Honours OR M231/PEC231 Modern Physics and PEC317 Physics of Materials.
